INGREDIENTS:
Tomatoes
Cucumber

DIRECTIONS:

Tomatoes:
1. Hold the tomato firmly in your hand

2. In the middle of the tomato make cuts in a zigzag pattern around the outside of the tomato.
To do this, insert the knife in the middle of the tomato at a 45 degree angle & make a cut roughly 1.5cm long.
Remove the knife & insert it at a 45 degree angle in the opposite direction to form a 'V' shape.

3. The start & end points should meet up, however if it looks like they won’t, adjust the angle for the last few cuts so that it does.
The ‘petals’ don’t have to all be the same size.
Using the knife, carefully wiggle the tip around in the centre of the tomato to cut away at the middle, but be careful not to cut the 'petals' while doing so.

3. Then using a teaspoon, pop the centre of the tomatoes apart.

Cucumber:
1. Cut & peel a large piece of cucumber.

2. Using a fork, score lines into the cucumber down the length of it. The lines don’t have to be straight & can cross over a little.

3. Cut the cucumber into thin slices so that they are easy to arrange on a serving plate.

Assemble in whatever manner desired.
