CHRISTINE'S CABBAGE ONE POT DISH

Serves 4-6

INGREDIENTS:
 
250 grams lean beef, pork or venison mince
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Vegetable oil
½ cabbage, sliced
2 Tablespoons water
1 red chilli, deseeded & sliced
1 red capsicum, deseeded & sliced
5-6 cups water
 
DIRECTIONS:
 
Combine mince with garlic, sesame seeds & sesame oil.
 
Mix well.
 
Stir fry in a heavy-based frying saucepan in a little vegetable oil until browned. 
 
Add cabbage, first measure of water, chilli & capsicum.

Stir well.
 
Add second measure of water & bring to the boil & simmer over a low heat for 20 minutes.
 
Serve.
