SALLY'S SMALL BATCH FRESH STRAWBERRY JAM

INGREDIENTS:

250 grams Strawberries, sliced
Juice of 1 Lemon
250 grams Granulated white sugar
1 knob Butter
 
DIRECTIONS:
 
Place the sliced strawberries & lemon juice in a medium heavy-based saucepan & heat until juices just begin to run.

Add the sugar gradually - once dissolved, boil quickly for 5 minutes.

 
Remove from the heat, add butter & stir for 5 minutes.

Stir occasionally for the next 15 minutes until all sediment has been stirred in.

 
Pour strawberry jam into warm, sterilised jars or jar & seal with jam covers &  screw-top if you have one.
